- Splash into a Women's Bible Study!
- Join us this summer for some quality "girl time" as we read and discuss the book, "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" by Joanna Weaver. Jamie Gilliatt and Heather Graves will lead this study meant to encourage every woman who has ever felt she isn't godly enough, isn't loving enough or isn't doing enough. The study will last for 8 weeks starting on Tuesday, June 30 @ 7pm at the Gilliatt's house. Books are available at CBD.com, Amazon.com or your local Christian Book store. - Mother's Care Station
- On July 4 we provide a place for moms to change diapers and nurse their infants at our town's festival on the Commons. We also give away free Juicy Juice to all the children who come by. If you want to be a part of one of the best community service projects we do, sign up at the info table for a 2 hour shift. You'll love it! If you would like to donate packages of Juicy Juice you can bring them in and leave them by the information table.
- Women's Canoe Trip
- Ladies, grab an oar and join other women from NorthStar for an overnight camping and canoeing trip. We are camping Friday night, July 10th, at the Lake Harris Campground in Newcomb NY and will spend Saturday paddling around the lake with a lakeside lunch. We'll leave from the church office around 3pm on Friday and return around 7pm on Saturday. Girls 12 and over are welcome to join us. - SHEN Employee Cookout
- Tuesday, July 14, we will be preparing a summer BBQ for all Shen District twelve-month employees (200 people). This is just another way we can give back in a practical way. We need volunteers to help with food prep, serving, and grilling. If you can help in any capacity, including serving, let us know on your Connection Card. Volunteers will need to arrive by 10:30am.
- Family Performing Arts Concessions
- For 5 consecutive Wednesday nights in the summer starting July 15, Clifton Park offers free, children-oriented performing arts concerts. We will be holding FREE concessions at each one to be a good neighbor and show God's love in a practical way. If you would like to give out free popcorn, snow cones or cotton candy, sign up at the information table for one or several of the Wednesday nights. It's also a great way to meet people at church. Volunteers need to arrive by 6pm to set up. The event starts at 7pm and lasts for an hour.
- Town Hall Cookout
- We will be preparing a summer BBQ for all town hall employees on Thursday, July 16 at noon. We want to show our town how thankful we are for it and how glad we are to be a part of the community. We need volunteers to help with food prep, serving and grilling. If you can help in any of those capacities, let us know on your Connection Card. Volunteers need to arrive at town hall by 11:00am.
- Land Dedication Service..DATE CHANGE!
- On Sunday, July 19, join us for "NorthStar Unplugged," a special service on which we will be dedicating our land for God's use through our church. We will be meeting on our land at the corner of Rt. 146A and Ashdown Roads. Please bring your own chair, a picnic lunch and anything you might need for your children as there will be no children's ministry. After the service we're planning on taking a group photo to commemorate this historic day in the life of our church.
- Planet NorthStar Pool Party
- Let's get wet! Children in grades 1-6 and their parents are invited to a pool party from 1-4pm at 3 Barkwood Lane in Clifton Park on Sunday, July 26. We will not be serving lunch but feel free to bring a healthy snack or drink to share and don't forget your own towel! Siblings are also welcomed! For questions e-mail kristen@northstarchurch.com.
- JULY PALS EVENT!
- Parents and Little Stars is a ministry for parents with children age 4 and younger. Our next event will be on July 29th at 10:30am. We will be headed to Saratoga Springs Public Library (Dutchess Community Room) to see the Zucchini Brothers! The concert is free! Please contact Jill at mom2evanowen@gmail.com with any questions.
- Add1 Teens Serving Opportunity
- Our preschool ministry is looking for junior helpers to be aids to the teachers once a month. You'll have a great time serving our little ones in God's Growing Garden! If you are interested please email kristen@northstarchurch.com.
